  • How long has Feng Cha been in business?

    Feng Cha was founded in 2017 in Dallas, Texas by co-founders, Johnny Gao and Yan Chen, with a mission to bring better boba to the masses. Their initial vision was to make going to a boba tea store a premium elevated experience. What began with this passion soon quickly evolved into creating a leading innovative beverage franchise brand, in an engaging community environment built on the best quality products.

  • What is the cost of investment to open a Feng Cha store?

    The estimated initial investment for an inline or end-cap store can be between $246,707–$663,328 (including a $35,000 franchise fee). Your costs could be higher depending on a number of factors, including your location. Please refer to Item 7 – the Initial Investment Page in our Franchise Disclosure Document – for additional details.

  • Do you offer in-house financing?

    We do not have an in-house financing program, but we are currently registered with the SBA and have relationships with various finance vendors.

  • Is Feng Cha easy to operate?

    Yes, the time-tested Feng Cha systems are clear and simple to follow, and we provide comprehensive upfront training as well as ongoing operational support.

  • Do you provide assistance with finding a location?

    We provide you with our site selection criteria and guidance in the selection of a suitable location; we also have a roster of seasoned preferred tenant-rep brokers in our priority growth markets who are very knowledgeable about our site criteria and will work with you to source locations.

  • What are the ongoing fees paid to Feng Cha?

    Franchisees pay an ongoing royalty fee of 5% of their store’s sales (currently paid on a monthly basis). An additional 1% of your monthly sales will be paid into the Feng Cha national Brand Development Fund. While we do not currently require payment of a technology fee, we may implement one in the near future, not to exceed $350 per month.

  • What is the best source for researching a Feng Cha franchise?

    Each qualified candidate receives a copy of the Feng Cha Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), which provides the following information and more: franchisor’s financial statements, copy of the franchise agreement and the multi-unit developer agreement, list of existing franchisees to contact, investment cost breakdowns, initial franchise fee, and other fees.

  • What type of training do you provide?

    All new franchisees are provided with comprehensive training, including at-home digital training through our e-learning platform. When completed, new franchisees then attend an 8-day training program at our Dallas-area training center, which includes both classroom-style and in-store experiential learning. Upon successful completion of pre-opening training, we assign a store opening specialist to assist all new franchisees to open their new store for up to seven (7) days on-site.

  • How many team members are typically needed to operate a Feng Cha location?

    We recommend a total of 9-12 team members on staff, with 2-3 in the store at any given time, depending on sales volumes and peak times.
